Zi Wei Dou Shu

12-House (Palace), they rule the different areas of life. They are superimposed on the 12 boxes according to the Moon and to the Hour of Birth. House I (Destiny) is first set, then the others follow clockwise. - House I: Destiny - House II: Parents - House III: Luck - House IV: Real Estate - House V: Vocation - House VI: Friends - House VII: Others - House VIII: Health - House IX: Finances - House X: Children - House XI: Union - House XII: Brothers House I: Destiny It's naturally the main house of a chart. The Destiny House should be stronger than any other house. HOUSE II: PARENTS The energies located in this House describe the parents, their social situation, their harmony, their links with their children. As usual, a BAR is not really auspicious: it may indicate divorce, struggles or removal from the parents house. Good stars become bad and Bad ones become good.... If NMS is present, look at the major stars located in the opposite Health House. HOUSE III: LUCK This is one of the main Chinese Houses. It can improve a bad Destiny (or deteriorate a good one, especially with FATE or NULLITY). It is not so bad when there is No Major Star in this House. But there should be a BAR or VOID or NULLITY. The energies located in this House were used, in ancient China, to determine the ancestor to whom the native was the more related. Rule III.1: There is a bar and there are some major stars: the native should leave his/her native country if he/her wants to succeed. Rule III.2: It's very favorable when NULLITY or VOID are present, if possible with the SUN and the MOON in trine or opposition. HOUSE IV: REAL ESTATE It indicates real estate, inherited or acquired during the existence. A bad Real Estate house is not very important if the Destiny is brilliant. Contrarywise, a brilliant Real Estate House with a bad Destiny is not very auspicious. As usual, a BAR is not really beneficial. HOUSE V: VOCATION This House is naturally studied in connection with the Destiny study. Anyway, the three Destiny-Vocation-Finance Houses are in trine. As usual, a BAR is not really auspicious: it may indicate an unstable career. But if there are bad energies, it's interesting to have them barred. If NMS is present, it's not very good, except if the SUN and the MOON are shining (*) in trine or opposition. It's even better if there is a BAR. HOUSE VI: FRIENDS It symbolizes all the people with whom the subject will have to deal in her/his life: subordinates (or superiors), students (or teachers) ... It is thus a very important complement of the Destiny House. As usual, a BAR is not really auspicious: it may indicate bad friends, lazy subordinates... Good stars become bad and Bad ones become good.... If NMS is present, look at the major stars located in the opposite house of Brothers and Sisters. HOUSE VII: OTHERS (PUBLIC RELATIONS) This House explains the relations with others or with foreign countries. It looks like House VII in Western Astrology, although the spouse is symbolized by the Union House in Chinese Astrology; and this Others House also represents travel and foreign parts. The element of the box where it is located is very important: - WOOD: the Destiny (opposite) is METAL. The native establishes himself/herself outside. - METAL: It's the contrary. - EARTH: the Destiny is EARTH too, and this indicates harmony. - FIRE: the Destiny is WATER, it's not very harmonious. - WATER: the Destiny is FIRE, it's better. As usual, a BAR is not really auspicious. If NMS is present, look at the major stars located in the opposite Destiny House. HOUSE VIII: HEALTH In the Health House, a BAR is auspicious! But in this case, KING OF THE STARS, GENERAL, OFFICER, MOTOR, LAUREATE, PUNISHMENT , STEED must not be present. Indicators of a good health: KING OF THE STARS, PALACE, HONEST, SUCCESS, FORTUNE, DELIVERANCES, VIRTUES... AID and SUPPORT amplify good and bad energies. HOUSE IX: FINANCES As usual, a BAR is not really auspicious: if it is the Severed Bar, it may indicate that money is scarce at the beginning, but this is improving after the age of 30. See also the rule IX.1 below. Rule IX.1: It's very good to have the SUN and the MOON in aspects, preferably shining (*). Or any other money energy (DANCE, TREASURE, FORTUNE...). Even if it is barred. Rule IX.2: It's very good to have in this house the maximum of energies like: KING OF THE STARS, PALACE, DANCE, APHRODITE, SUN, FORTUNE, TREASURE... If NMS is present, look at the major stars located in the opposite house of Luck. HOUSE X: CHILDREN The Luck House indicates the ancestors. The Children House indicates the descendants. Both subjects were very important in ancient China... This House must be carefully examined together with the Destiny, Union and Health Houses. A BAR may indicate a divorce of the native and his/her spouse. If NMS is present, look at the major stars located in the opposite Real Estate House. HOUSE XI: UNION It must be examined together with the Destiny, the Second World and the Luck. As usual, a BAR is not really auspicious, it may indicate divorce and struggles. WAYLAYER is not good and may indicate a divorce. If NMS is present, look at the major stars located in the opposite house of Vocation. HOUSE XII: BROTHERS AND SISTERS It's the less important House of the Chinese Astrology. As usual, a BAR is not really auspicious: it may indicate divorce, struggles or removal from the parents house. Good stars become bad and Bad ones become good.... If NMS is present, look at the major stars located in the opposite house of Friends .
